MIKEL LABOA

Mikel Laboa Mantzizidor was born in 1934 (Donostia) and died in 2008 (Donostia). He was a famous singer of Basque Country. Some experts said that Mikel was the best experimentalism of the Basque classic music on the xx century.

We can distinguish his songs in three columns: recovering old songs, become poems to songs, experimentation of songs called "lekeitioak".

He worked in a foundation called  "Ez dok hamairu". The objective of the group was to claim for the freedom of Basque Country, but  surfacing that through different elements of the nature.
